Prickly heat

This skin rash usually appears during the summer when the sweat glands of the baby get clogged and small red bumps appear. The bumps appear under the clothing.

The rash only lasts for a few days and you can treat it with Hydrocortisone cream. Make sure that the skin of the baby is clean.

Diaper rash

This might be the most common one of the baby skin rashes of different types. In this case, the skin becomes irritated and red. In order to take care of the problem the diaper area should be kept as clean as possible. Make sure to change the diaper frequently and let the skin breath before putting on the new diaper.

Eczema

When thinking about the different types of baby skin rashes it is good to know that eczema is genetic. The eczema patches are swollen, itchy and red besides being dry and sometimes they can have blisters. This is something you should see a doctor about because it can be caused by food allergies.

Impetigo

You should know about this one of the baby skin rashes of different kinds that this is a contagious skin infection. It looks like sores or blisters and it usually affects the hands and face. You should take the baby to a pediatrician as soon as possible because he or she will need antibiotics.

Cradle cap

This is one of the different types of baby skin rashes that the babies are born with. It usually appears on the face, behind the ears and on the neck. It is caused by clogged pores and it looks like scales. Usually the mothers use baby oil to loosen the scales of the skin.

Scabies

The worst thing about this one of the different types of baby skin rashes is that it itches. It is caused by the mite infection that can spread in the household. To get rid of it, the entire household should be treated with a topical agent to kill the mites.
