I am curious, what do you mean when you say most mothers cannot successfully breastfeed? Unless you have a medical condition(taking unsafe medication that could pass to baby through your milk, have nipple problems, or have a serious illness that does not allow you to breastfeed) or cannot afford a pump and must return to work full time then breastfeeding is a reasonable option for you. Breastfeeding can be hard at first, but with a couple weeks of practice it is very easy. It is free, convenient, natural, and healthy. In fact, babies DO thrive when being breastfed. No mother should feel guilt over how she chooses to feed her baby, but to say that most mothers cannot successfully breastfeed is simply NOT TRUE. It takes a little practice and patience, but is definitly worth it.
